my only concern is that they play hard and don't beat themselves.
The only team in the NFL that can beat us... is us.
Go Texans.

Brown has done very well this year, I think he will be able to hold his own. The ticket will be quick passes, dont let Matt try to sit back in the pocket all day.

My concern is the weather in Buffalo this Sunday. Supposed to be showers with the high in the mid 40's. All we need is a cold, slippery ball in Slaton's weak arms.

they should expand on the sticky gloves idea and make sticky arm sleeves for Slaton.

any foreign substance that makes the players hands etc sticky is against the rules.
Thank Lester Hayes for that... I know a lot of players used it, but he went overboard with it.
I don't even think they let them use pine tar.. like in baseball
Rest assured, if they're trying to use some sort of newfangled sticky equipment to gain an advantage, the NFL will outlaw it pretty quickly. They'll have to approve it first.

As with all NFL games, the most critical factor of all is most likely going to be the turnover battle.
All we have to do is show up, play our game and take care of the ball.
The Bills can't beat us, we can only beat ourselves.
Go Texans.

I've got a specific concern going into the Colts game.....TE coverage. Dallas Clark has historically been able to torch our defenses and nothing I've seen this season makes me think he can't do the same. He's an excellent TE (right yos? ) and they move him all over the place. He's not quite as big and fast as Vernon Davis but he could still give Meco and our LBs trouble in coverage. Hopefully Bush has come up with a scheme that can minimize the damage or he could tear us up.

I agree about the need to blitz to generate extra pressure, my concern with that is our execution. Not only will we have to blitz more but we can't afford to get caught with screens or quick throws or Manning will chew us alive. We all know how good he is spotting a blitz so we either have to be extra good at disguising them and calling them at times he won't be expecting, or we better make damn sure we get to him when we do.
That's why our best option is probably to blitz Cushing...he has a pretty good track record of getting to the QB and at least knocking him on his ass. A whole 60 mins of him busting up Manning is just what the doctor ordered. Remember what he did to Russell....he didn't knock him out of the game but he beat the hell out of him for 60 mins, and he's a big dude.
Another player I'd like to see used in blitz packages is Pollard....that dude could really put a nice lick on Manning if we can get him through clean, only problem is that it would leave the entire secondary on an island and could cost us BIG time. Would the occasional gamble be worth it? I think so.

history has proven that if you can get to Manning, disrupt his timing and knock him around, he crumbles to adversity.
when he's back there with all day to throw, pumping his feet and patting the ball, it's when he's at his best.
get to him early and often.

if the Texans get 3+ sacks, and knock Peyton down hard about 8 times in the first half I'll buy'em chicken fried steaks.
That oughta motivate'em.
