is up for grabs fellas! If we can get our stuff together and turn this tragedy into intensity I feel we have a shot. Who has more to play for than we do? Nothing heals better than sports. Ask New Orleans. The Titans are the only undefeated team. Who'd a thunk it? This is a good opportunity for us to shine!

I was hoping for us just to bounce back from that loss to the steelers, but now I want em to come out and take some frustration out on some titan ass!

It would have been extra sweet to see Indy drop that game to Minny. We can use all the gimmes we can get.
I am still worried as hell about the secondary. I think the pass rush will come along, but someone is going to have to step up big in pass coverage if we plan to compete. This week should be a good confidence building game in that respect as we are not staring down the kind of receivers we were against the Steelers.

Not to mention Bledsoe v.2 Collins is a freakin statue. I think Mario is going to make it to where the secondary is not even an issue in this one. I bet they pulled the tape out from last season when he palyed against us.

I'm more worried about the Tacks front 4 against our O-line this week. Haynesworth and Vandenbosch could rattle Matt if we don't step up the protection. He needs to stand tall in the pocket and forget about last game and last year. If we can take the Titans we'll be right in the race for the AFC South lead.

They really need to focus on 3 step drops and roll outs this week in the passing game because I don't see how we are going to be able keep him and Vandenbosch off of him otherwise.

You just have to be sure the roll out is opposite of Vandenbosch or you'll find yourself in his arms. I think we win this game. I dont know I just got that feeling.

I think this year, you guys have to worry about out entire D-line. We got some great depth along the line this season and Tony Brown is playing very well. Our 2nd round pick Jason Jones is going to be a helluva player as well. We haven't missed a beat with him in the games relieving AL. And unlike last season....well almost, but Cortland Finnegan is becoming or has become a shutdown corner this season. You guys have to pay attention to that as well.
I do think if Schaubie or Rosey gets enough time, they could do some damage. I'm more concerned with Rosey though as he seems to pick us apart when he's in the game...

Matt needs to redeem himself. Last year's game was a welcome to the AFC South moment for him. He has to realize that this is one of the most physical divisions in the NFL and he needs to stand tall and not lose his composure if Haynesworth starts banging him around again. I have all the faith in Schaub but he needs to have a good game this week.

He made some bad decisions against Pittsburgh, and with the injury issues last season, he needs this game to show the type of leader he can be. If he tanks this game and makes some big mistakes then I don't rule out bringing Sage in. I am a supporter of Matt but if he can't get the job done we have a decision to make IMO.

I wouldnt be ready to rule him out after this game. I'm going to wait until seasons end. If he gets hurt again and is still making some dumb decisions after a full season then consider something else. Sage although I like the guy is an 8 yr vet and still makes some dumb decisions too. I just feel he has never been the #1 for a reason.

I also agree that Sage is not the answer if Matt goes down again or starts to struggle mightily. Sage is a good QB, just not a franchise QB. If we are still having serious questions regarding the QB position at seasons end it might be time to head a different direction all together.

I think we're drafting a QB now anyway. I don't Rosey is starting caliber either. I mean he's been in the league 8 years as a backup. It seems as if he kills us when he gets in the game.

As a Horns fan myself I stood against his supporters that said he could be a pure pocket passer. Matt seemed to have a lot more upside as far as tools go that translate to the NFL game. That said...I didn't feel all that comfortable committing 6 years to him without having some guarantees, because here we are a couple of years in and there are questions that need to be answered. I am far from completely losing faith though. I still believe he can answer those questions and be the QB we signed him to be.

Thats where the smarts that should be in Greens contract were put into this one. Year by year. After the money Carr stole from us it was understandable.

I was really hoping the Jags would lose.

Just think how upside down it will be if we beat them next week? We always play well against them.

If you look at it we've got a real good shot starting this week. If we beat the Jags then we're a game up on them, then we get a beat up Colts game at home. If we get a win there (please god) then we're looking pretty good going into a soft part of our schedule and a chance to make up some serious ground. But it all depends on how well we play. Right now we're our own worst enemy because we're beating ourselves.

What really sucks is how our "D" is playing now. If they would have played like that against the Jags first game and the Colts the second half of the second game or we would have run the ball like we did on Monday night then all these people calling for Kubiak's job would have nothing to bitch at. Of course Sage has cost us the first game against the Colts and the "D" not stopping them once in the second half cost us the second one.
I can look at it and say what "IF" all day long and I know it changes nothing but I have to believe that it is signs of hope as long as Schuab does not take anymore cheap shots.

At least we're not in the cellar of the division again this season. That spot belongs to the Jags now.
