How about this....
Steve Slaton, Owen Daniels and a 5th rounder
for
Richard Marshall and Jordan Pugh (T A&M)
Reasons:
Dreesen is 28 and has shown he is capable as a starter.
We have two other TEs that have the potential to be very reliable players in the NFL and another who would serve as our blocking TE.
We have 3 excellent backs; Slaton is lost in the wash because he has very little value due to his inability to be effective in the return game.
Marshal, a 5th year guy that is a proven playmaker but the Panthers have a decent secondary and desperately need a third down - compliment back and a reliable TE.
Pugh is a scrappy, athletic Safety that is second on the depth chart. JP could challenge for the 2nd spot immediately while returning kicks and eventually take over as a starter at FS.
I know it's too early to be talking about this but I don't care.
