if only Buffalo could have held on against Jacksonville. It pains me to see them most likely still leading us when we play them again.

I had it in my mind that Jax would beat em so we would have to do it ourselves but come on man. They were so close. Good news is that Jax struggled against a team we decimated. When we roll in to Jax all swoll up there is going to be hell to pay. That will be our statement game after we defeat Tenn and Indy - "We are not the bitches of the AFC South any more. Be afraid. Be very afraid."

If we make the playoffs, I think it will mean more if we earn our way. Sure, I'd take all the help we can get.. but from a fan's standpoint I see the games being more exciting that way.

It would be nice to cruise to the playoffs like Indy but if we can't do that I would rather be the underdog that scraps thier way in. It will be more satisfying that way. Oh yea lets pray for an injury free game. We will need all of our guys for the stretch.

well needless to say the playoff picture got alot murkier for us. The Colts game is going to be huge. Win and we are in the middle of the race, lose and we are all but mathematically out of the picture.

You are diehard Goat. I'm giving you a karma bump just for keeping it positive.
I wish I could share your optimism but I'm not sure we have what it takes. At this point I'm just hoping to go 9-7 and not finish last in our division.

I love my home team for more reasons than just winning football games. I will support no matter win or lose. I will be angry with them sure, but theres more that goes into it for me than just wins and losses. That being said I will keep faith until the day they are eliminated.

Win and we are in the middle of the race, lose and we are all but mathematically out of the picture. I don't know about mathematically out if we were to lose at Indy...that would put us at 5-6 with 5 games left. Everyone in the AFC who is not a division leader is playing inconsistent football. 10-6 (winning out) is not likely but still we are mathematically alive. Possible - not probable

ya thats why I said "all but" as we would need to win out and have favorable tiebreakers.

Well I suppose that we are still in it mathematically but we have a half dozen or more teams ahead of us. A few of those teams own tie breakers over us plus our conferance /division record stinks so it is very doubtful that we make the playoffs. I think at this point we can only hope for our first winning season.

This kind of sums it up. www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d814976b7&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=trueHouston (5-6), tied for third in AFC South Until they get over the hump, I can't suspend disbelief. They're perpetually average and find ways to lose just when they have a chance to make a real statement. The Texans are just 1-4 in the AFC South after blowing a big lead in Sunday's loss to the Colts. They go to Jacksonville this coming Sunday to face a physical opponent that has given them fits. Forget about a brutal final two games to end the regular season, if they drop their fourth straight game, all within the division, they will be done. Remaining games: at Jacksonville, Seattle, at St. Louis, at Miami, New England. Prediction: All the division losses doom them. They might not win another AFC game, and .500 again.

we just need to win the rest and see where everything lies after it's done.
9-7 might make the playoffs this year in the afc.
10-6 would be even better.
It ain't over til it's over.
Go Texans.

losing 4 divisional games in a row would just be unacceptable really. They need to go in there and want it more than the Jags.
