OK my wife and I are planning our trip to MNF. We are looking at a package where would be staying at the Crowne Plaza Houston North- Greenpoint hotel. Does anyone have info. on this hotel and how far is it from the stadium? We will have a rental car, but we're curious on what traffic is going to be like around 430 (we're from the land of tailgating so I will show you fools how to really tailgate!!!!). Also, we would come in on Saturday and would be looking for things to keep us busy on Sunday. An recommendations? I am very interested in a tour of NASA....can you do this and is it costly? ALL tips would be much appreciated!!! Any ideas for other good hotels?

Andre, that hotel is about 20miles from the stadium and although it's all freeway to get to and from...everything is far away in Houston. The Crowne plaza is a nice hotel and I would always recommend it if you were concerned with comfort but there is a comfort suites within walking distance to the stadium, that's where I plan to stay the next time I go home (the last time I went to a game I didn't get there until about 7 minutes into the 1st quarter because my buddy didn't pick me up in time to tailgate, needless to say I was PISSED!). The hotel isn't the best by any means but it is CLOSE to reliant. The area is not bad but not great either...you probably don't have to worry about your safety but don't expect any scenic vistas from your hotel windows. It actually butts up against the Texans Practice facility and one of the parking lots. Here's a link to the Comfort Suites. www.comfortsuites.com/hotel-houston-texas-TX546?sid=Rpzri.xkk6Sgy5X.8&sarea=TXNNFL&sname=Houston+Texans+-+NFL&sstate=TX&scountry=US&sradius=40.22&slat=29.6845&slon=-95.4126&schain=A&exp=&scity=&sort=interest&type=&map=n
