Oh well I'm still very proud of our boys. According to the media and on paper we didnt stand a chance even with Yao. We still took those chumps to the limit so my hats off to ya Rockets you played your asses off!

I blame Spike Lee....there's no way we could win with ESPN running that Kobe Doing Work bullshit airing less than 24 hrs before game 7. How could Kobe and Phil let the Lakers lose after that?? Nothing like a little strategically timed hype to try and make sure they get that Lakers final they're hoping for. I hope the Nuggests blow them out of the water now.
Oh well, it was a great season that got me excited about Rockets basketball again. They rose above everyone's expectations and pushed the defending West champs to a game 7 with a depleted roster by playing some of the best defense I've seen a team play in a long time.
Congrats for a great run!

what do we know about Taylor and Budinger?

what do we know about Taylor and Budinger? Not real sure. Havent had much time to investigate either footballl season coming up and all. The main thing that concerns me is Yao's foot is still broken, not healing and they cant figure out why.

Yeah they said that he was all excited b/c it feels fine. He can walk on it, no rednees or swelling and it doesnt hurt him at all. That is weird. Freakin China man. They have ran him into the ground. Hopefully this being his first actual offseason he can get it fixed and come back. I just hope the FO doesnt go into panic mode and do something stupid like the trade I heard they tried to make today. They tried to give Minn. Brooks and Battier for that kid(name?) from Spain who doesnt even know if he is going to play in the states or not.
We were the only team in the whole playoffs to take the Lakers to 7 games and w/o Yao as well. The Rockets need to chill, take a deep breath and not do something dumb.

Rubio??? God I hope not....the kid is only like 18 yrs old and hasn't developed an NBA shot yet. there's no way I'd give up Brooks and Battier for him. As for Yao's situation I heard last night that they were hoping rest would allow the foot to heal but it hasn't. They still aren't sure whether he'll need to go back under the knife again but it's not looking good.

They said something about putting screws in it. What we need to do IMO is IF he comes back is keep this team we have built around him and just dont make him play all season. There are alot of teams we play that we dont match up well against when the big guy is in there so why play him? If we have a playoff spot guaranteed with a week left in the reg. season play him in spot play to keep him in shape but not whole games. I've said this for the past few years, Yao's playtime should be around 30 min. a game. Not 37-40. Those extra few make a big diff. Start him out dominate the game in the first half and use him in spot play in the 2nd half.

If we go after Stoudamire then it should be for T-Mac straight up if that is who we are trying to move.

I'm definitely down with Stoudamire....that kind of inside size and presence is exactly what we need, but we'll probably have to give up more than just McGrady considering he hasn't played ball in a long ass time and he has a lot of wear and tear on that injury prone body.

Good move IMO. We get Ariza for Artest from the Lakers. Same position, and a younger player. Not an Artest hater, but I cant say I'm a miss all those flying bricks from 3 point land.

not a bad move at all as long as Ariza plays like he did through the playoffs. Now we've got to solve the problem in the paint.

Well the big man is out for the whole upcoming season. He will have reconstructive surgery to lower the arch in his foot and a bone graph(sp?) to repair the fracture. I'm not as big as Yao but I'm about 265 and I have high arches. My feet hurt bad in the mornings when I get up b/c I'm on them all day at work. I hope they fix it and get him back by the 10-11 season. All I can say is I hope T-Mac is healthy b/c through him is the only way we have a chance at sniffing the playoffs with Hayes at center. Feeding off of emotions for a couple games is way diff. then a whole season.

that's discouraging news....sorry to be a downer but I don't think they can get it done without Yao. T Mac might help win enough games to get the team back in the playoffs but he's already proven he's not the guy to get us over the hump.

No we are not a championship team w/o Yao by far, but we are not a playoff team w/o T-Mac. That's what I meant. With Mac atleast we are in the hunt.

ugh, I just hate the thought of suffering through another disappointing season with T-Mac behind the wheel. I know man, but as for now I feel that is our only option until the big FA of 2010 and we see what happens with Yao.
