Man I have never seen more ignorance in my life than I have seen today from people who were on my friends list on myspace. Literally people posting that "can't wait to see Obama assassinated" things like that. These were people I went to school with.
And not to mention the comments from so called christians...Jezz man. I deleted 4 friends off my myspace page.
It's one thing not to support the guy because of the issues, but man it's a hard pill to swallow when you reliaze how alive and well hard core racism still exists. I'm embarrassed to say I ever knew these people.

The thing is I dont give a shit what color the guy is. I literally almost went to the polls at a toss up. What it boiled down to was I feel President Obama was still a little wet behind the ears with only a few years experience as a Senator. Also I want our troops home, but you cant pull out too early and expect those assholes over there to just let bygones be bygones. Hence once again lack of experience. So I chose McCain. But hell like I said I've been wrong before. I voted for W the 1st go around so what does that tell ya? I voted for Kerry the next and if President Obama does us good I will be at the polls in 12 voting him in for a 2nd term. The fact is our country is mixed full of faces of different colors. You can either be ignorant and not be willing to accept it or take it for what it is and live happy with the opportunities this country offers everyone no matter who you are. America made a huge step in history yesterday and I am proud I got to witness it. God Bless America and God Bless everyone in this country who is open minded enough to accept change.

People hate the outcome but have no valid reason why. Up here at work it's the same thing. You ask them why they disagree with the choice even though 68% of the country voted for him and they can't give you a solid answer....it's always about hate.

Well said...I wish everyone could be as rational but unfortunatley ingorance still reigns supreme here.

I say this to all those people that voted for Bush and he got elected twice and everyone was happy. Now look at yourselves in the mirror and tell how does it feel when you have someone in office that you didn't want! Karma is a bitch!

I have no problem with him as a man, I didnt vote for him because he is a democrat and I dont agree with the democrats views on issues. That and I dont agree with 1 political party controlling all 3 branches of govt.
You guys are on the other end of the spectrum in Texas, here on the east coast if you didnt vote for obama you were labeled a racist. Which is funny considering 99% of the black vote here went to Obama. It works both ways.

Well, here is to better things in the future. I'm proud of all the non blacks who voted for their best candidate without all the bs this country has gone through. It is proof that the times are FINALLY a-changin'.
and..it's about time. Racism has held this country down for too long. When we start to accept everyone for who they are it is just a better world. The world is getting smaller all the time and wrong thinking people won't be able to sustain forever.
I personally thought McCain was more qualified but am happy america has made it apparent that we no longer are as bad as we used to be with the race issue. I didn''t vote...but i never do...i'm one of those..lol

eh I disagree with that but no sense arguing about that subject here. With the statement that america is finally changing...or that mccain in my opinion was more qualified? If it's the latter...i'll go ahead and say that yes no one is qualified to be president. It's sort of a learn as you go job. I just hope america gets this economy turned around. Should be an interesting few years. Argueing politics never works anyway. I try to avoid political threads but wanted to say something about how proud i was of our country and how far we have come in acceptance.

I disagree with america changing, unless by changing you mean wanting someone else to pay their bills, wanting the government to handle all their problems, and throwing equality out the window in favor of special treatment and as many handouts as possible. Basically america is becoming fatter, lazier, and less educated as the years tick by.

Yeah I seen where some people were talking about how they were glad they weren't going to have to make certain payments now like on washer/dryer and shit like that. They think b/c "they" are the president now they are home free.
