Im just kinda meh on him. I think him and Wilson are very comparable, its just Rolle has stayed healthy and Wilson has not. I wouldnt be upset or anything if they went after him. Im not sure they want to pay two starting free safeties though.

Yeah me too. I personally like Wilson and they're about equal on the field imo, so I don't look for us to go after Rolle unless Bush thinks he'll fit better in his system since he worked with him in AZ.

future of the NFL, no team is gonna pay a running back past his first contract because its more cost effective to just draft a new guy on the cheap. Its kinda sad.

Marcus Mason just got let go by the 'Skins, he's 25, 5'9", 215 with a good burst. He seems good for the ZBS but if that's the case and "Big Shanny" is going to use the ZBS why let him go? Not alot of video on this guy but I'd love to see what he could do in training camp.

Woohoo, Texans resigned Kevin Walter. I love Walter so Im happy about this. It looks like they didnt have to spend too much also, 5 years 21mil, only 8 guaranteed. In comparison the Lions paid more to sign Nate Burleson. Im going to go out on a limp here and say we got the better man.
The Falcons broke the bank and gave our favorite Cunta a 6 year deal with a whooping 27mil guaranteed. I still cant believe they are giving him that much.

everyone is overpaying like crazy for anyone marginally talented. The Dansby deal is pretty out there too. I think we did pretty damn well for Walter. I wouldnt mind them going after Bodden, but I think its just gonna cost too much in this market to be worth it really.

I'm glad Walter is back. It's not like we don't have the depth to replace him but he's consistent and has a nack for picking up key first downs.

I'm relieved that Walter is going to remain a Texan. Yea we probably could have lived without him but our passing game is the strength of our team and now it is assured to stay that way.

Keeping a clutch receiver that knows the system is always a great thing. I'm just curious how they're going to handle the #3 spot this season. I think it's time that Jones gets more opportunities, but then again I really like Anderson's grit too.

No offensive linemen at all. 4 WR sets, OD, Thor, Dreessen, Leech on the line, Slaton and Foster next to Schaub.

Well so much for the pipe dream. All the big name RBs are signed and the only other good cover corner is gone too. No matter how much I hoped the trend had changed, once again it looks like we're putting all of our eggs in the draft basket again....I hope we land a runner and a cover guy that can step right in and play.

Im ok with waiting for the draft, they've had some good luck with it. They did try for Bodden, it seems like he just really wanted to stay in NE. I dont think they needed to go after any of the old FA RBs. Risk/Reward was too high.

I think we will be okay. We will probably make some more moves after the draft, once we see the areas where we still have needs.
In any case, I am glad that we didn't sign a washed up RB or reach for a CB that was no better than the one we let go.

Check this out. We just signed Neil Rackers to a 2 yr deal but ESPN reports that we're going to have an open competition between him and Brown in training camp. sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5058753&campaign=rss&source=NFLHeadlinesNow am I alone in thinking that Brown is a goner? Rackers supposedly had a visit lined up with the Jets, so why would he sign a 2 yr deal with us if he was only promised a competition? Personally I think it would be an upgrade.

I think its because he thinks he can beat Kris Brown. If he does, he gets a fat deal. Smith played this PERFECTLY only giving Rackers 350k guaranteed. What a great deal. May the best kicker win out.

Rackers is more accurate under 50 yards. We don't need to be kicking 50+ yard field goals anyway. I liked Brown and feel bad about his slump but we can't afford to lose games due to poor kicking.
