Yeah even though we are not going to make the playoffs it felt good to see the Texans logo on the screen on ESPN when they were showing the rankings for the wild card spots. That was a good feeling considering where we were a month ago.

How do y'all think the loss of the Titans DC and DL coach affect the Titans D this coming year? And for that matter the loss of Dungy in Indy? Does this give us a lil' more of a chance to break thru this year against these two?

Does this give us a lil' more of a chance to break thru this year against these two? Well considering how I thought the firing of Norm Chow and the demotion of Vince Young was going to send the Titans straight to the AFC cellar.......I'm not too confident. However, if the Titans also lose Haynesworth to free agency then we could be on to something. I think Losing Dungy will have its toll on the Colts over time, but it will be a gradual thing as they lose more talent around Manning. Dungy was the main reason for a lot of players signing there and staying. Now that he's gone I can see them losing guys when their contracts are up. The balance in the AFC South is finally starting to even out some but we're still going to have to fight our asses off this season to split games with them.

not entirely true if you consider the Bucs after Dungy left. Sure they were already on the verge of a Super Bowl when he left but Gruden stepped in and sealed the deal.
just sayin

I still think they're on the decline though. Manning is the key like you said...but now that Dungy is gone there will likely be a few guys that bolt to other teams. What we really don't need is Albert Haynesworth going to Indy....that dude just needs to leave our conference, period.
If our offense gets even better next season we'll be able to hang with every team in the AFC South so I think we'll be right in the mix. It's our defense that has to take that step now if we hope to make it to the next level. For some reason I think our players will take the negative publicity from the training camp shit personally and come out with a chip on their shoulders to rally around Kubiak.

IMO it has to be or there will be some serious questions that need to be asked after the season is over.
