Is it a possibilty that he may have bit his tongue and that's what the blood was from? Quite possible. Spitting up and coughing up are two different thinks so I couldn't say which it was, but I was pretty shocked to see that because he was on his knees, but then he got up and stood over on the sideline and didn't look that bad.

I think if he was coughing up blood they would have shown a lot more urgency about the situation.
Bleeding in the lungs is very serious and they would put tubes in there to suck it out etc.
I'm guessing he just bit his tongue, otherwise they would be saying a punctured lung or something.. which would also make it collapse wouldn't it?
I'm no doctor, I only pretend to be one when I'm online.. and baked.

LOL...I was baked earlier but its getting late so I'm trying to be as productive of a poster as I can tonight. He may have bit his tongue but it had me scared for a while. Still, even a bruised lung is no joke.

yeah I'm sure it's painful.
a good thing.. and a bad thing... is...
he's so tough. He'll play if possible... which isn't good if he's doing it and shouldn't be.
The smart play would be to take it easy this week if he's not 100% and playing would aggrevate the injury and make it take longer to heal.. or make it worse.
He's such a competitor, I'm afraid he might make a wrong decision about it, thinking with his heart and not his head.

Lung damage...ouch. I hope he is okay. They should sit him out this week. The rest of the guys can handle the Jills.

Andre vs The Byrdman
Yeah.. that Byrd was flappin his wings on the sideline... and he had something to flap his wings for.. I mean he's had a phenomenal run. 7 INTS in 5 games? I mean cmon... he's on fire... just lucky and able to have the quick reflexes and skills to snatch the opportunistic pick out of the air. Not just a regular Byrd, he's a ball hawk.
Enter Andre. Yeah, he had a pass that bounced off his hands,,, and Byrdman snatched himself another pick... his second of the day. But Andre doesn't know give up or quit. Nobody on this team does. When the Byrdman was squawkin and hoopin and hollerin.. flappin his wings.. AJ didn't pull a TO and sit with a disgusted look on his face.. or bitch and moan about the way the team was playing... he did what a pro should always do.. live one play at a time...
We all know that Andre got the best of the Byrdman today.. when he caught that ball.. and ran smack dab into Mr. Byrd, knocking him flat on his ass. It wasn't long after that and the trainers were sending him into the locker room for the rest of the day. He wasn't flappin his wings then, was he?
Check out the head butt, helmet to helmet smackdown AJ lays down @ 2:12 then he hits the dude again.
